Thank you for booking your suits with Tux & Tails (Bristol) ltd. Please quote the party name and function date as the reference when booking in future appointments for your members to be measured.


FUNCTION DATE  (Example: 20.05.23)

Please make showrooms aware if you require a fitting appointment that is not in the showroom where the original order was booked.

Goods are hired to the customer on the understanding that they shall be returned in an undamaged condition and that the customer shall be responsible for and indemnify us against any loss or damage to the goods whilst on hire.
(a) Any goods lost or in our opinion damaged maliciously or damaged beyond repair will be charged at the full replacement value. Please take particular care with top hats. Under no circumstances should they be thrown in the air.
(b) Suit bags, hat boxes and hangers form part of the hire and will be charged for if damaged or not returned.
A security deposit of no less than £100 per outfit will be required (and no less than £150 for overseas customers).
Your Responsibilities
(a) It is your responsibility to check that all details relating to their order are correct before leaving the store.
(b) Where orders (including subsequent replacements) are delivered by third party courier, we cannot guarantee delivery or except any responsibility for late or non-delivery by such couriers. Please note couriers can deliver any time between 6am and 5.30pm. It is the hires responsibility to insure that the order can be excepted and signed as received between these times.
(c) Late orders (orders placed within 3 weeks of the function date) may be accepted. These orders may, at the suppliers discretion be sent by a third party courier at an additional cost to the hire. In the case of late orders dispatched by third party couriers condition 4(b) also applies.
Changes to original order: We will charge £15 per order for any changes made to an order within 4 days of the collection date.

Payments: (a) Deposit: A minimum deposit of 50% of the total hire charge for each outfit must be paid at the time of booking. (b) Balances must be paid in full 13 weeks before the function date. (c) Pandemic Postponments- Terms and conditions apply to the original date. All balances unless paid are classed as overdue and must be paid as soon as possible or an agreed payment plan.

Cancellations: (a) Deposit payments will be refunded if the order/s are notified to us in writing within 5 days after placing the order/s. (That only applies if the function is more than 12 weeks away)                                                              (b) No refunds will be given within 12 weeks of the function date.

Fittings and collections:
(a) A check must be made to insure all garments are present and are exactly listed on your order.
(b) We advise all garments to be tried on and checked for fit and imperfections before you leave the store.
(c) Any faults must be reported before leaving the store.
(d) Further visits to the branch will be necessary to collect replacement garments, which must be tried on and inspected as per conditions above.
(e) Failure to request replacements of any item at the time of fitting will result in additional carriage charges of up to £200 payment of these will be the responsibility of the hire.
(f) We do not accept liability for sizes of telephone orders after we have read the sizes back to the Hire and had them confirmed as entered correctly.
(g) Any weight fluctuation after the 8 week fitting (before function date), we strongly advise hires to notify us at least 2 weeks before the collection date, so we can arrange alternative sizes. Failure to do so will incur replacement and courier charges.
(h) No responsibility is accepted for incorrect sizes ordered without a fitting by our own staff.
(i) We cannot accept any responsibility if you fail to adhere to any of the above conditions and will affect the possibility of you obtaining the correct garments for the function.

Return of garments:
(a) All hire garments, suit bags, hat boxes and hangers must be returned on the returned date overleaf before 10.30AM. Overdue items will be charged at a rate of £10 per day.
(b) Suit covers and hat boxes are loaned at no extra cost but are subject to a surcharge or £15 each if not returned by the ‘Return Date’ overleaf.
(c) All hangers are loaned at no extra cost but are subject to a surcharge of £2.50 if not returned by the ‘Return Date’ overleaf.
(d) All garments will be checked as they are returned to the store. The hires must insure they allow sufficient time for this when returning outfits especially were a number of suits are being returned. This can be significantly reduced by insuring that garments relating to each individual order are replaced together in their correct suit bag as at the commencement of the hire.

Accidental Damage Waiver (A.D.W):
(a) A.D.W is an applicable charge per outfit provides cover to the maximum value of the goods hired.
(b) Top hats and canes are expressly excluded from this cover.
(c) The waiver does not cover garments that in our opinion have been damaged maliciously or through inappropriate use.
(d) Personal insurance held by you does not cover garments owned by us and loaned to you under this hire wear agreement.
(e) Any garments not returned, lost, stolen, or returned damaged unless covered by ADW will be charged.

Lost Property: We cannot be held responsible for any customer property left in
the suit when returned.
The management reserves the rights to request an official proof of address without justification.

(a) Acceptable forms of an official proof of address includes UK Driving Licence, Credit Card Statement, Bank Statement, 2 Utility bills.

This contract is governed by English Law and the parties submit any disputes to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

I agree to hire articles specified overleaf for wear and use on the date overleaf at the hire charges as stated, and on the conditions of hire printed above.
